Welcome to my redesigned travel photography galleries. Eventually you'll find images from
Nepal, India, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Key West, and my home, Seattle and the
Puget Sound region of Washington.
For now, I'm including only digital images dating back to 2004. Perhaps as time allows I'll
include scans of older images from other places. I'm also adding captions as I have time.
The picture above is a gompa, or Buddhist monastery, along the road from Leh to Khardung
La in Ladakh, India. It's promoted as the world's highest motorable road where it crosses
Khardung La at 18,430 feet but anyone who pulls out their GPS will find that it's about 700
feet lower.
