Welcome to my redesigned travel photography galleries. You'll find images from

Bhutan, Nepal, India, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Key West, and other places

that I may add in the future. If you're interested in my work as a geologist, you should go

here or here instead.

For now, I'm including only digital images dating back to 2004. Perhaps as time allows I'll

include scans of older images from other places. I'm also adding captions as I have time.

The picture above is a gompa, or Buddhist monastery, along the road from Leh to Khardung

La in Ladakh, India. It's promoted as the world's highest motorable road where it crosses

Khardung La at 18,430 feet but it's really about 700 feet lower.
